interesting to do this: do the regular "link:www.domain.com" search. note one of the linking page urls listed. now do the search as recommended here, ":www.domain.com -site:www.domain.com". THEN search within the results for "inurl:" plus a the domain of the page you noted from the "link:" search.

I did the above and found that the recommended ":www.domain.com -site:www.domain.com" search didn't include the backlink page I had found through standard "link:" search.
